This book started originally because of the serious lack of upbeat, joyful praise songs in today’s contemporary worship services. These praise songs have always been very necessary in my life and I was being Praise deprived during worship. (Thus the website name: Praisedeprived.com). This started me on my journey in analyzing why, along with other questions I had regarding current worship music trends that are so common among today’s contemporary services.
I have always been a person who asks “why”, which I mention in this book. This led me to expand this book to cover all elements of worship, though the subject of music is the primary focus. I would not put this book as being “inspired”, as is such with the books of the Bible. Nevertheless, I did have God’s leading as I wrote, and do not feel it would have been what it became, had it not been for God’s guidance.
As I mention in my book, there is no Bio on me. If you want to know who I am, you will need to read the book. You will get an idea of who I am as well as whatever experience I might have, as you read. You may find my Chapter and section headings “out there” sometimes. Sorry for that, but then – that also is me, and the headings do direct you to the point being made.
Why $2.00? I am not interested in making any money off this book. That is not why it was written. I want it to be read by as many possible. There is a price, because I can’t publish on Amazon without a price. If for some reason you want to give more, I would like to mention two Ministries that I would like to see donated to. Clicking on them will take you to their site, where you donate whatever, you would like
Finally, if you care to respond after reading this book, you can email me at Larry@praisedeprived.com. I would like to hear from you, both negative and positive. I am passionate about this subject and am even open to coming and speaking with your leadership, worship team, or even congregation about anything I’ve discussed in this book. Just let me know.
